The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance of the Division including setting and achieving the strategic and operational objectives and directions. They carry out their role based on best practice governance principles and ensures the organisation operates in accordance with the Division's Constitution.

Dr Mick Donohue

Chair, Dip. RACOG, MBBS (Qld), FACRRM

Experience: Capricornia Division of General Practice Board Member since 2003; Board Chair since 2009 General Practitioner and Director of Medical Centre, Clinical Senior Lecturer in General Practice, Government Medical Officer, GP Qld Governance Committee Chair, Certificate in Governance Practice & Administration.

Areas of Interests: General Practice.

Special responsibilities: Capricornia Division of General Practice Board Chair, Member of Capricornia Division of General Practice Governance and Finance Committees.

Dr Mark Sykes

Treasurer, MBBS (Qld), FACRRM

Experience: Capricornia Division of General Practice Board Member since 2000; Finance Sub-Committee Chair, Trained RACGP Facilitator, Clinical Senior Lecturer in General Practice at the University of Queensland, Certificate in Governance Practice & Administration.

Areas of Interests: General Practice, Acupuncture.

Special responsibilities: Chair of the Capricornia Division of General Practice Finance Sub-Committee.

Dr Richard Shepherd

Director, MBBS (Qld), BMedSc, FRACGP

Experience: Capricornia Division of General Practice Board Member since 2007.

Areas of Interests: General Practice.

Mr John Lamb

M. IR (Dist), B. Bus (HRM/Gov), Ass Dip IR., Director

Experience: Capricornia Division of General Practice Board Member since 2007; 25 years practicing as a Human Resource Practitioner, Lecturer in specific area of management at CQU, representation before both State and Federal industrial tribunals and Qld Anti-discrimination Commission.

Areas of Interests: Employment Legislation, Employee Motivation, Enterprise Bargaining.

Special responsibilities: Currently principal of John Lamb Workplace Relations Consulting; Board Member of CQ Friendly Society Ltd; 10 year career as the Central Queensland Regional Manager of Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Dr Steven Connell

Director, MB. ChB (Liverpool UK), DRCOG, MRCGP, FRACGP

Experience: Capricornia Division of General Practice Board Member since 2009; Previous Board Member for a 3 year term, Certificate in Governance Practice & Administration, Over 20 years of Experience in General Practice.

Areas of Interests: General Practice, medical education, travel medicine, acupuncture.
